Our History
Walker & Associates
Insurance Agency was founded by Doug and Joanna Walker in 1960 under the name
Doug Walker Agency,
later changed to Doug Walker & Son Agency and now named Walker &
Associates Insurance. The Agency has evolved into a full service multiple
line insurance firm servicing over 8,000 clients in Central
Indiana.
Since 1960, the agency has grown
steadily due to the production efforts of its staff and sub-agents. Branch
offices are also maintained in Carmel and Greenwood, Indiana in
addition to the main office in Indianapolis.
The Cicero office was established in 1990 when
Arthur Lane
merged Lane & Associates with Walker.
The office moved to Carmel
in 2001 and operates as a full service branch. Walker, Helms was established in 1998 when
Al Helms merged in his agency. Walker, Day is a sales office in Greenwood. Walker
Financial was established to meet the growing financial needs of our clients.
The Walker & Associates agencies are Independent Agencies that represent
several insurance companies offering a full range of insurance products for
both personal and business needs.
